Coach Role - MLS Go!
8 Week Program
Volunteer coaches lead their teams through weekly practices and weekend games while following the club provided curriculum. Coaches serve as role models and guide players in teamwork, effort, and sportsmanship.

Time Commitment
8 Week Program
• Two practice per week
• One game each weekend
• Fifteen minutes of simple session preparation (All provided by Fremont Rush)

WAIVED PLAYER FEES
Volunteer Coach Benefit, Player Fees Waived
As a thank you for your time and commitment, Fremont Rush waives the player registration fee for your child when you volunteer as an MLS GO coach. Your support plays an important role in creating a safe, positive, and fun soccer experience for our youngest players.
Eligibility
• Fees are waived for all players registered within the same family for the current MLS GO season
• Coaches must commit to the entire season, including practices and game days
• Only confirmed coaches approved by Fremont Rush will qualify for the fee waiver
How to Apply
• Interested coaches must complete the Coaching Interest Form (See link below)
• The coach will then confirm their full-season commitment
• The coach must sign the Fremont Rush volunteer coach waiver | Click Here To View
• Once approved, the coach will receive a unique code to use during registration
Important Notes
• The fee waiver applies only to players registered under the same family account
• If a coach withdraws or is unable to fulfill the season commitment, fees will be reinstated
• Coaches are expected to model positive behavior and follow all Fremont Rush program policies
Do I need previous coaching experience?
No. MLS GO is designed for volunteer coaches of all backgrounds. Fremont Rush provides weekly practice plans, support, and guidance to help you run fun and simple sessions.
Will Fremont Rush provide training or curriculum?
Yes. Fremont Rush provides the full MLS GO curriculum, weekly practice plans, and training resources that explain how to run each activity. You will also receive ongoing guidance from our staff to support you throughout the season.
Are player fees waived for my family?
Yes. All players registered within your household for the current MLS GO season will have their fees waived once you are confirmed as a coach.
How do I receive the waiver code?
You must complete the Coaching Interest Form, confirm your full season commitment, and sign the coach waiver. After approval, Fremont Rush will give you a unique code to use during registration.
What if I already paid before becoming a coach?
If you already completed payment, Fremont Rush will adjust your account and apply the waiver after you are approved.
What equipment do I need?
You will receive a coach shirt and basic equipment. We recommend bringing a water bottle, comfortable shoes, and a positive attitude.
What age groups will I coach?
You will coach the age group your child is registered in, unless Fremont Rush needs support in a different group and you agree to assist.
What if I miss a practice or game?
Occasional conflicts happen, but coaches must commit to the entire season. If you are unavailable, please notify the club immediately so we can support your team.
How do parents communicate with me?
TeamSnap is used for all practice reminders, game details, and schedule updates. Families are encouraged to enable notifications.
