Intermediate Academy

Intermediate-Academy-Logo

The Intermediate Academy is under the Competitive umbrella, and allows players to develop at an accelerated pace. This is a program designed for individual player development to prepare players for a smooth and fluid transition into our Competitive Programs. Players are placed into training pools based on the player development four corner model and teams are formed at premier, gold, silver, or bronze level. Rush staff coaches assure that every training is intense, fun and age appropriate.

The Intermediate Academy mirrors the Competitive program with 3 training sessions per week, Each season, each team participates in one local tournament, and ‘in house’ scrimmages against our competitive teams.

Here at Rush, we believe that the pathway to successful athletes and exceptional character building begins here in the Intermediate Academy. We implement our 11 Rush Core Values, like respect, tenacity, enjoyment, and passion, into the game and into the hearts of these players. This program sets the tone for the future of the club, so we work closely with our Competitive coaches as well as our Recreational coaches to ensure great quality, effort, and love goes into each individual player in the program.

In the Intermediate Academy, we train, we cheer, we smile, and we produce quality athletes both inside and out. We teach an abundance of technical training, the Rush Way, and help provide training opportunities for all to better their skills in the game. We practice the Core Value of Unity and together, make a difference in the game.

During the season, various camps and clinics will be held by Fremont Rush. Those camps and clinics will also be available to the intermediate Academy players to take advantage of if accepted into the program.

Weather Policy

Weather Policy for Fremont Rush Soccer:

The health and safety of our players are our top priority at Fremont Rush Soccer. We understand that inclement weather is a natural part of playing sports, and it is important for our players to learn how to handle and play in different weather conditions. However, we also recognize that some weather conditions can be dangerous or pose a risk to the well-being of our players.

In the event of severe weather or dangerous playing conditions, such as lightning or extreme heat, all training sessions and games will be postponed or canceled. The club will make every effort to communicate any changes or cancellations to players and parents as soon as possible through email and/or text messaging.

In the case of light rain, training sessions will proceed as scheduled. Players should come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear, such as a rain jacket and cleats suitable for wet conditions.

In the event of heavy rain, the decision to proceed with training sessions or games will be made on a case-by-case basis by the coaching staff and club directors. Factors that will be considered include the severity of the rain, the condition of the field, and the safety of the players. The club will communicate any changes or cancellations to players and parents in a timely manner.

In the case of extreme cold, the coaching staff and club directors will determine if training sessions or games should be postponed or canceled based on the safety of the players. Players should come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear to stay warm, such as multiple layers, hats, gloves, and warm-up pants.

Lastly, Fremont Rush Soccer operates under the weather guidelines established by the U.S. Soccer Federation. You may learn more by clicking here: http://www.recognizetorecover.org/environmental

Soccer Parenting ResourcesThe Sideline Project

Why do we feel like this is important?
Distracting and hostile communication can hamper the development of players & cause stress for the player leading to lack of enjoyment and desire to play the sport. Our goal at Fremont Rush Soccer is to build & support athletes for life, at whatever level is appropriate for each player. We want our players to try new things, which means taking risks to develop their creativity. Developing players is a journey that needs your support to enjoy the ride, to learn resilience and to have success with perseverance. We believe if you invest in & properly develop players, the winning takes care of itself.

Fremont Rush is proud to be a Club Member of the Soccer Parenting Association. We believe youth soccer parents will be difference makers when it comes to improving the game. We consider a more collaborative environment between coach, parent, club and player is in the best interest of player development. We humbly request our Fremont Rush Parents to complete "The Sideline Project" mandatory course within this platform to ensure the best possible development for all of our players.

As a Fremont Rush member, you are not required to pay for the course because our club's leadership values parents who are involved in and educated about their child's soccer experiences! You'll have access to hundreds of articles, interviews, courses, all created specifically for youth soccer parents!
